The Tiny Dots of a Cosmic Masterpiece
August 11, 2024
There are tiny dots in the night sky that are bigger than our entire solar system and these tiny dots represent an unfathomably minute slice of the celestial bodies floating about the universe at any given moment in time. Within the faintest hint of every passing shadow within these pinpricks of light that have traveled millions or billions of light years to reach our eye, entire civilizations may very well have arisen and fallen with scarcely a molecular or electromagnetic signature left behind to commemorate them. But whether this is true of any given ghost-like trace, we can reasonably infer that by the time this cosmic masterpiece succumbs to heat death, the number of civilizations that sprang into being and then utterly vanished will likely have outnumbered all the particles in the universe. Anything that could happen will have happened and our true nature is the totality of these things. So as a fleeting manifestation of that which is infinitely manifested in all its endless variety there is nothing that matters less than how or what people think of a narrowly defined version of you or what it may or may not accomplish or fuck up. All that matters is that you open your eyes (literally or figuratively) for the split second you are here to behold the wonders of pure creation. All is your will, your creative impulse, and you exist for the sole purpose of appreciating what you have made.
